Rotary and our community ...
Rotary is a group of Men and Women of varied ages, giving their passion and time to a common goal - to run projects large and small to benefit our community, while at the same time enjoying the network that is Rotary.
Rotary membership is open to all community minded men and women who feel they can help build a better life for others whether it be in our local area or international. Rotary members use their experience and expertise to create opportunities for building friendships, understanding and peace.
Rotary was the first community service organisation in the world and has, since 1905 grown to be recognised as a leader in providing aid, housing, medical relief, scholarships and research for the benefit of countless millions. Rotary has over 1.2 million members in over 200 countries. Rotary draws heavily from people in business, offering an outlet away from work routines, with added benefits of networking opportunities. Many members are now retired. They love the social nature of Rotary. Our aim is to involve you; no matter where you come from, whatever you do and whenever you're able, to do good in the world and bring a smile to the face of others.
This website offers you an insight into Rotary life. Some members have busy lives and dedicate a little time. Others invest many hours. Rotary offers members many opportunities - a chance to get involved at a level that suits your lifestyle and time in projects that match your personality.
Over 40 years ago Rotary undertook to "rid the world of polio". From this promise followed a strong relationship with UNICEF and has been recognised by Bill Gates to the extent that for every dollar Rotary raises, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donates another two. We are so close. Why not become a friend of Rotary and help us to achieve this goal? Doing good in the world.

We can explain a bit more about Rotary and our Club.
You won't be pressured to join .. but we'd love to show you some benefits!
Visitors from overseas and interstate clubs drop in as a 'make-up' while away from home. This can be a fascinating way to hear what Rotarians are doing in other parts of the world. Our own members reciprocate when travelling interstate or overseas by visiting other clubs. This is a magnificent way to make new friends and new connections.
