Meetings temporarily relocated to Villa Noosa Hotel

CLUB NEWS 12th January 2021

On Friday 8th January we received a request from Noosa Council to use our meeting venue 'Tait Duke Community Cottage' as an exclusive COVID-19 testing station. Our Board felt this was an essential community service and had no hesitation in agreeing. TDCC director Steve Watts contacted The Villa Noosa Hotel and they confirmed 6pm to 8pm dinner meeting bookings from Tuesday 19th through to Tuesday 30th March.

THROUGHOUT OUR WEBSITE, REFERENCE TO MEETING TIMES AND DATES HAVE NOT CHANGED. THE ONLY THING CHANGED IS THAT UPTO 30th MARCH (if not extended) WE WILL MEET AT THE VILLA NOOSA HOTEL FOR REGULAR MEETINGS AND NOT TAIT DUKE COMMUNITY COTTAGE.

COPY EMAIL OF APPRECIATION

"I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how grateful we are for Rotary Noosa Heads allowing the use of Tait Duke Cottage for the Covid Testing clinic. I know that this required several groups to have to alter their normal operations but we are very appreciative of this. The walk-in testing clinic being run by PHN and Sunny St is a critical component in the strategy to keeping our community safe from Covid. It had been working very well at The J however the summer climate made operational conditions far from ideal for the wonderful Sunny St staff and the patients attending - either unbearably hot or raining. Tait Duke is providing a great temporary location so that we can keep this important service going during our peak tourist period.

Many thanks and kind regards,

Kerri.
