Rotary Global Rewards
Rotary Global Rewards is up and running, and more than 38,500 members have already visited the program on the Rotary website. After just four months, some 11,300 members have accessed the program and 5700 members have redeemed offers within the system.
An initiative of 2015/2016 Rl president Ravi Ravindran to provide an additional benefit to Rotary membership, the Global Rewards Program allows Rotarians to receive concessions from businesses and service providers around the world. Many of the provider offers give a percentage of the purchase back to Rotary.
Past governor Don Cox, of the Rotary Club of Broadmeadows, Vic, is a Member Benefits Ambassador for the program, and told past, present and future officers and partners at the recent Zone 8 Institute in Melbourne that the Global Rewards Program has been designed with three principles in mind-
• To enhance member satisfaction and retention;
• To thank Rotarians for their membership and service;
• To do even more good in the world. Don said people join Rotary and stay in Rotary for the same reasons - to give back to their communities and for continuing friendship and fellowship.
He said the list of Rotary Global Reward partners is growing quickly and offered many benefits to members. Recently, Australian based retailer Harvey Norman was added to the portfolio of offers.
Don urged Rotarians to explore the member benefits program for discounts on travel, hotels, dining and entertainment by going to the Rotary Global Rewards section on the website www.rotary.org/myrotary or access www.rotary.org/globalrewards via mobile devices and select "Explore Rewards".
He said development of the program was continuing every day and members should keep checking to see new attractions and offers. The good you do comes back to you with Rotary Global Rewards! •
